ZeroBase Announces Opening of Hawaii Branch

MAUI, HI, January 8, 2014 – ZeroBase announced this week that it has officially opened a new company branch in Hawaii, focusing on solar microgrid installation and development across the Hawaiian and Pacific islands.

On the heels of a successful microgrid project that has allowed Maui-based, family-owned company Ocean Vodka to power their production facility entirely via renewable sources, ZeroBase seeks to tap into the incredible potential of solar power production within a clear, sunny, tropical climate. This environment, coupled with the relative cost and difficulty of providing fossil fuel to Hawaii, makes the region a highly desirable audience for ZeroBase’s distributed power products.

The formation of the Hawaii division was finalized on January 1st with the hire of Michael Paul, owner of Apex Electric, LLC and an integral partner in the completion of the Ocean Vodka project. Mr. Paul now joins ZeroBase as Director of Installations and head of the ZeroBase Hawaii branch.

ZeroBase is the leading innovator in renewable and hybrid distributed power products, specializing in remote off-grid systems that deliver power to some of the most rugged locations on the planet. ZeroBase solutions reduce the cost and risk of fossil fuel dependence for government and commercial customers, including the U.S. Department of Defense. Visit ZeroBase for more information.
